Inspiration Is Everywhere

As I open my journal to begin writing, the first page has a quote. "Inspiration is everywhere." I'm not really sure why, but this topic seemed harder for me to write about. There are inspiring things all around us, whether we notice it or not. Sometimes we look over them, sometimes we grab hold of them, and sometimes they grab hold of us without us even noticing.      Inspiration comes in many forms. It comes in books, music, movies, TV shows, YouTube videos, quotes, pictures; it's literally everywhere! However, there is good inspiration and bad inspiration. Some examples of good would be giving back to others like in Toms commercials, uplifting quotes you see on Pinterest, and songs with good messages. Some bad inspiring things would include explicit language in movies and songs, the idea that putting others down will lift you higher, and TV shows where murders are gotten away with and stealing is acceptable. Things like this get in our heads and without us rea

Be The Good

"Who am I really telling this to?” I ask myself as I send a text saying they “seriously need to rethink their relationship with God.” As I journey through the tough teenage years, I sometimes find myself less in touch with the Word and more in touch with the world. High school is a difficult place to build a strong relationship. With anyone honestly. There’s so much distraction. Temptation, gossip, relationships, even school work; it all distracts from what’s really important. Taking difficult classes and trying to keep my grades up along with all of my extracurricular activities I find it harder and harder as I get older to keep my faith strong. I have very little time to study His Word besides at church and youth group.       Every summer I go to church camp(s) and it always lights a little fire it my soul. It usually lasts until about the time school rolls around and then the fire slowly dies out. My biggest problem is that I always try to change and please people mostl

Make The World A Little Kinder.

So I've been thinking about blogging for a while now, but I wanted to wait until I got my own computer to do it. So here I am, blogging, on my MacBook Air I got for Christmas. I haven't really decided where I'm gonna go with this yet but I think that's okay.      I've been reading Jordan's blogs ( jordannicoleterry.blogspot.com ) a lot lately, and they just sort of inspire me to write and blog and live a little. Recently I bought a journal I had thought about writing blog ideas in from World Market. It has little pages with quotes throughout it and I've decided whenever I get to each one of those, I will write about it. Now these aren't exactly Bible based quotes but that's what I'm going to make of them.      So here goes the first one. On the front cover reads "make the world a little kinder." That's what I'm here to do. With God's help, I'm on the road to spreading His Word and making the world a better place.
