Inspiration Is Everywhere

     As I open my journal to begin writing, the first page has a quote. "Inspiration is everywhere." I'm not really sure why, but this topic seemed harder for me to write about. There are inspiring things all around us, whether we notice it or not. Sometimes we look over them, sometimes we grab hold of them, and sometimes they grab hold of us without us even noticing.
     Inspiration comes in many forms. It comes in books, music, movies, TV shows, YouTube videos, quotes, pictures; it's literally everywhere! However, there is good inspiration and bad inspiration. Some examples of good would be giving back to others like in Toms commercials, uplifting quotes you see on Pinterest, and songs with good messages. Some bad inspiring things would include explicit language in movies and songs, the idea that putting others down will lift you higher, and TV shows where murders are gotten away with and stealing is acceptable. Things like this get in our heads and without us realizing they take over our bodies and we begin doing these sort of things. I once saw this quote that said "You become like the 5 people you spend the most time with. Choose wisely." I thought about it a while and realized this is very true. Sometimes after spending a lot of time with a person, I feel like I am starting to talk like them. Maybe I'm just crazy, but this is what I have observed after spending weeks with people.
     I was listening to the radio the other day when the song "Do Something" by Matthew West came on. The chorus says:

If not us, then who

If not me and you

Right now, it’s time for us to do something

If not now, then when

Will we see an end

To all this pain

It’s not enough to do nothing

It’s time for us to do something

     This got me thinking. God put us on this world to change it. To bring it back to how it should be. He didn't put us here to sit around and dread our lives, He put us here to change the world! He created us to do something amazing. Don't sit back and watch the world pass by, get out there and make it a better place! Spread His Word to everyone! Be the good you want to see in the world! It's not going to change itself. It's only going to get worse. Start now & build a solid foundation so when you're gone, someone can take it over and change it even more. 
     Everything inspires your life in some way. The more you observe good, the more you will be good. Make the decision, it'll impact your life forever.
