10 Guidelines For Dating

In our world today, dating is a pretty common thing.  However, there is a difference between dating in a worldly way and in a Godly manner.  Below is a list of 10 guidelines for dating in a way acceptable in God's sight.

  • Find your self worth in God before getting into a relationship. Don't date to feel good about yourself.

-Proverbs 26:26

  • The healthiest relationship are those in which the similarities far outweigh the differences.
"Bad company ruins good morals."
-1 Corinthians 15:33

  • Take it slow.

-Psalm 119:133

  • All healthy relationships require good, solid, and well-defined boundaries. You are responsible for yourself.
"Be careful how you live, not as unwise people but as wise."
-Ephesians 5:15

  • Wait.

-Hebrews 13:4

  • Don't fall for anything.
"Do not let sin rule over your bodies to make you obey their passions."
-Romans 6:12

  • Don't ignore warnings. Listen to those around you.
"If you go the wrong way, you will hear a voice behind you saying, 'This is the right way. This is the way you should go.'"
-Isaiah 30:21

  • Choose wisely. Don't be blind to the truth.
"Keep your eyes focused on what is right, and look straight ahead to what is good."
-Proverbs 4:25

  • Understand that you have infinitive worth and take action against anything that treats you less.
"Do not let anyone treat you as if you are unimportant. Instead, be an example to others."
